May 22, 2014 Meeting – Seeding, Cutting, Transplant, and Bulb Exchange

Hey Everyone this months meeting is going to be great!! Please mark your calenders. even if you don’t have anything to bring please come and meet gardeners in the valley make new friends and learn something new.
8275 South 1300 West, West Jordan, Utah 84088
Thursday, May 22nd
7:00 – 8:00 P.M.
May’s meeting will be a seedling, cutting, transplant and bulb exchange.I know when I start seeds inside, I plant 2-4 more than I need “just in case” and I think I am not the only one so bring all the extra plants you have that wont fit in your garden, divide your chives and pot up a few to trade for something new. Trim your sage and mint and let the cuttings take root so someone else can start their own patch for tea, If you have a plant that you no longer want dig it up and put it in a pot, dig up some of your multiplier onions and see if someone brings something you have been looking for.

We can all come home with something great if we all see what we can bring. Kind of makes me think of Stone Soup. ~ Bethany

Hope to see you there! 🙂 ~ Raven

Meeting This Thursday and Seedling Swap – April 25th – Salt Lake County Seed Swap

Please join us, bring your seedlings, and chat about composting this Thursday, April 25 at 7:00 at the Ruth Vine Tyler Library for our Salt Lake County Seed Swap April meeting.  The library is located at:

8041 South Wood Street (55 West) Midvale, Utah 84047

Our meeting goes from 7:00 P.M. – 8:30 P.M.  Be sure to bring your composting tips (even your failures are worth sharing) and any extra seedlings you have to swap. A note on the plants – they do not have to be in fancy containers with beautiful labels. As long as they’re healthy, non-hybrid plants with some kind of label (the more information, the better), we’ll be happy!
